YouTube
About 1 minute per channel
Postline uploads Shorts to your YouTube channel through Postline's own Google app - you don't set up anything in Google Cloud. You sign in with Google once per channel; Postline can only upload videos and read the channel's basic stats.
Before you start
- 1
Know which Google account owns the channel. A channel can sit inside a Brand Account - you'll pick it after signing in.
- 2
The channel must be able to upload Shorts (no strikes, phone-verified for videos longer than 15 minutes - Shorts don't need it).
Connect the channel
- 1
In Postline open the channel → Status tab → Connect YouTube.
- 2
Pick the Google account that owns the YouTube channel.
- 3
If Google says “Google hasn't verified this app”, click Advanced, then Go to Postline (unsafe).
This shows until Google finishes reviewing Postline. It's Postline's own app - nothing is shared with anyone else.
- 4
If the account has several channels, choose the right channel or Brand Account.
- 5
Tick both boxes (upload videos and see your YouTube account) and click Continue.
- 6
You're back in Postline with the channel name and subscriber count under YouTube. Done - it never expires unless you remove access.
Channel settings that matter
- 1
Channel → Settings → YouTube: privacy (public / unlisted / private), category, language, Made for kids and AI-generated content label.
- 2
Postline adds
#shortsto the description if it's missing, so vertical videos under 3 minutes post as Shorts.
If something goes wrong
- “YouTube login expired - sign in again”
- Someone removed Postline's access in the Google account, or the password changed. Click Sign in again on the Status tab.
- “That Google login has no YouTube channel”
- You picked the Google account itself instead of the Brand Account that owns the channel. Connect again and choose the channel on the account picker.
- Remove Postline's access
- Google account → Security → Third-party connections → Postline → Delete all connections.
